Austin, TX – July 21, 2009 – Amherst Securities Group LP, a broker-dealer specializing in residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), today announced that Charlie Ulmer has joined the Company as a mortgage-backed securities (MBS) salesperson. Mr. Ulmer, who joins Amherst after spending the last 15 years at RBS Greenwich Capital, is based in the Company's Greenwich, Connecticut office.

Mr. Ulmer began his career in mortgage-backed securities with RBS Greenwich Capital in October of 1993, where worked in operations, and joined the MBS sales desk in late 1994. He has worked with a variety of accounts over the past 15 years, more recently focused on the hedge fund community. Mr. Ulmer graduated from Tufts University with a B.S. in Psychology.
